**PENNSYLVANIA REQUIRED CREDITS**
- Effective April 29, 2025

As of April 29, 2025: There are now specific credit type requirements needed to renew your license in Pennsylvania. As part of your required 24 credits, you will need to complete:

• At least three (3) hours/credits of ETHICS for all licensed resident insurance producers and resident/non-resident title insurance agents.

• At least two (2) hours/credits of Flood Insurance instruction for all property, casualty, or personal lines licensed individuals. Please note that this continuing education requirement for flood insurance applies even if the property, casualty, or personal lines licensee does not actually sell flood insurance policies.

Existing licensees will be required to complete the new requirements within 12 months or by the end of the license period existing at the time of the effective date, whichever is longer. Individuals licensed on or after April 29, 2025 will be required to meet these requirements before the end of their first license period. Course completions taken before April 29, 2025 will not apply toward the new continuing education requirements. Additional ethics and flood insurance continuing education hours will carry forward as general hours. Question regarding these new changes can be sent to the Bureau of Licensing & Enforcement at ra-in-producer@pa.gov or call (717) 787-3840.

Annuity Suitability - Effective December 26, 2018 - under Section 403.1-B of Act 48, producers must complete at least four continuing education credits in an approved annuity training course. All producers with the authority to sell annuities in Pennsylvania will need to satisfy this four credit annuity suitability CE requirement.
