States Editor

Welcome to the HTML5 Map states editor. This tool allows you to configure and customize the look of individual regions (this includes states, provinces, counties and other areas) on the map.

Instructions:

1. To edit a region, click it. Find parameters of the region at the right panel.
2. You can rename the region, modify its abbreviated name, and add the text for a popup message.
3. You can use HTML tags in the popup message text.
4. To adjust colors of a region, click it and specify the Fill Color and the Hover Color in the corresponding fields. You can individually customize colors of the short labels.
5. The “Link” field allows you to set the landing page for a given region. This URL is opened when a user click the region on the map.
6. To generate a configuration, click the “Export config” button. Copy the contents of the text box and paste them into your settings.js file. Make sure you have a proper version of settings.js file in your map. It should have the map_cfg variable defined. Update your version of the map if this is not so.
