Tennessee requires that attorneys complete 15 hours per year by December 31. Of the 15 credits, 12 must be general and 3 must be ethics and professionalism "EP credits". Excess general credits may be carried forward in the succeeding calendar year. Up to 3 excess EP credits may be carried forward to the succeeding year's EP requirement, but will not be used to satisfy the 12 general credit requirement.
Credits listed as 'EP' count toward the three-hour Ethics/Professionalism requirement only. Credits listed as 'Dual' may be counted as EP or general CLE requirements as needed by each attorney. General credits only count toward the 12-hour general CLE requirement.
A maximum of eight (8) credits per year may be completed online.
