Continuing Education Requirements

24 total credits are required for renewal. At least 3 credits must be in the topic of Ethics, the remaining 21 must be in the topic of Title.

Compliance Date

Continuing Education credits must be completed and your license renewed by the last day of your birth month biennially (every 2 years).

• Independent self-study online or written courses (passing grade of 70% required on final exam)
• Classroom
• Interactive Online
• Seminar

Exam Requirements

Self-study final exams are required to be monitored by a disinterested 3rd party (i.e. someone with no business or family relationship to the student.)

Carryover Credits

Excess credit hours earned in the previous biennial renewal period cannot be carried over to the next reporting period.

Course Repetition

Credit will not be given for course completed more than once in each reporting period.

Credit Reporting

Cape will submit your credit hours to SBS within ten days of course completion. Course completion certificates are provided for your personal records.
